Chantal Mathieu began her musical studies very young since at the age of 5, she studied music theory at the Conservatoire de Lille. One year later, she discovered the harp and the piano. From then on, she continues to perfect herself in the art of the harp.
Over the years, she continues to collect prizes and distinctions, along with a professional career started at the Concerts Colonne in Paris, where she was harpist solo at the age of 15.
In 1977, she moved to Switzerland. At the Conservatoire of Lausanne, she teaches harp, chamber music, contemporary music and sometimes organizes jazz seminars.
She also teaches music in Masterclasses all around the world : from Japan to Australia, through China, Korea, Russia, Israel, the United Kingdom, the United States, Brasil, Mexico…
Nowadays, Chantal Mathieu continues her career as an interpret and teacher all over the world, not to mention a research and writing on the beautiful art of Euterpe and recent diploma of the European Association of Medicine Arts…
