Maureen Thiébaut

Maureen Thiébaut trained as a harpist at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Paris, then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where she received her Masters in harp with honours.

In 2008, she won the 3rd Prize, as well as the “Coup de Coeur” Prize, of the Concerts de Poche at the Martine Géliot International Competition. Three years later, she won the First Prize of the International Harp Competition of the Cité des Arts de Paris, as well as the special “Micheline Kahn” prize.  She studied further at the Royal Academy of Music of London, and toured in recitals that took her to Berlin, Cardiff and Milan.

In 2014, Maureen Thiébaut joined the Republican Guard Orchestra. She is also Principal Harp with the Manifesto Orchestra, and she performs regularly with the Opéra de Paris, the Orchestre des Siècles, the Orchestre National d’Ile de France, the Orchestre de Bordeaux-Aquitaine, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, the Orchestre National de Lorraine, and the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris. In addition, Maureen Thiébaut teaches at the PRIZMA school in Boulogne-Billancourt.

During the festival, Maureen will be performing in “Harps and Dance / Vibre!”, a world premiere in collaboration with Yannick Essono Ndong, Olivier Besson and Lucie Berthomier.
