“Music is everything to me, the harp is part of me”, says Marcel Cara about the place music takes in his life. He was born in 1996 in Charleville-Mezières where he started the harp when he was 5 with Denis Veith. He then studied with Dominique Demogeot and met Germaine Lorenzini in 2009, who played a significant role in his studies.
Marcel Cara made his debut as an orchestral musician with the Gustav Malher Jugendorchester (led by Jonathan Nott) in 2015, playing in the biggest concert halls in Europe (Musikverein in Vienna, Grand Theatre of Aix en Provence).
He is currently a student at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris with Isabelle Moretti and was a winner at the International Harp Competition in Szeged (Hungary). In the recent past he has benefitted from the expertise of harpists such as Sivan Magen or Emmanuel Ceysson.
